Hot air balloon flight on the morning of Saturday 26th September

On the morning of Saturday 26th September 2009, the passengers booked onto the flight, and their spectators, arrived at the launchsite on Bluebell road, Norwich. Shortly after the meeting time, the launchsite safety briefing was given, and the baskets pulled off the trailers. The passengers then had their flight safety briefing, and the balloons was prepared and inflated.

Exquisite views of the city were experienced as the aerial adventurers traversed the early morning Norfolk landscape. G-CENX and G-CDHL thrilled their passengers, chasing each other through the tranquill skies as the wind escorted them, heading in an easterly direction.

They peacefully floated over the villages of Brundall and Strumpshaw, providing fantastic scenes of the Norfolk Broads. Finally, G-CDHL came to back to earth at Lingwood, and G-CENX at Beighton.

After the balloons were deflated and packed away, and the flight had been toasted in the traditional manner with a glass of chilled Champagne, the passengers adventure drew to an end.

The following week we received this e-mail from Susan Miles who flew with her sister in G-CENX -

“Many thanks for organising for us to get on the flight this morning. My sister and I had a great time - in particular it was excellent to fly over my own home in Eaton! Please pass on our thanks to all the team - especially our pilot - the bump

warnings were much appreciated!!”
