Afternoon hot air balloon flight over Norwich on Sunday 18th October

On this glorious Sunday afternoon in the middle of autumn, sixteen passengers rose gracefully into the sky, leaving their family and friends weaving and on the ground below.

With perfect visibility our passengers enjoyed outstanding views of our fine city of Norwich and views stretching out to the coastline at Great Yarmouth.

As our blue balloon G-CENX drifted over the City our aerial adventurers experienced a birds eye view of the many narrow streets that make up the centre of Norwich and its thirty two medieval churches. The splendid magnificence of Norwich Cathedral with its spire rising three hundred and fifteen feet is the second largest in England. Football fans enjoyed a different aspect of Norwich City Football stadium and not one that many get to see.

Powered only by the wind G-CENX continued in a north easterly direction passing the villages of Thorpe End, Rackheath and Salhouse before landing on a grass field in the village of Woodbastwick, home to Woodforde’s Brewery.

Passengers enjoyed a beautiful sunset toasting the flight with a chilled glass of Champagne reflecting on their adventure and agreeing it had been a wonderful experience.
