Early evening hot air balloon flight of Thursday 8th April

Our forecasters were suggesting that Thursday 8th April 2010 was going to be suitable for hot air ballooning, so we scheduled an additional hot air basket, and at 17:00, thirty one eager passengers arrived at the launchsite on Bluebell Road, Norwich.

Once the balloons were prepared for flight, and everyone had received the briefings, both G-CENX and G-CDHL were gently ascending into the skies, commencing the adventure of a lifetime. Floating over the city of Norwich, the passengers were awarded with fantastic views that the city has to offer.

Drifting in a South Easterly direction, the spectacular Norfolk landscape passed calmly beneath the basket, allowing plenty of time for our adventurers to take in the amazing sights.

Unfortunately every flight must come to an end, and G-CENX landed in Alpington, near Poringland, while G-CDHL came to a rest at Kirby Bedon, near Bramerton. Both flights were toasted with a glass of Champagne, and the thrilled passengers returned to the launchsite in our minibus.

Over champagne, passengers flying with us in G-CDHL said, "So peaceful, floating over the countryside. A fantastic experience and would recommend it to everyone."

"Would urge everybody who can to have ago at this wonderful experience. Dan was a fantastic pilot and the rest of the crew were very friendly and helpful."
