Early morning flight of Friday 22nd August 2008

Friday morning saw another sixteen passengers arrive at the launch site on Bluebell Road in Norwich to experience the joy of the oldest and most romantic form of aviation in the world!

With the safety briefings completed and the hot air balloon prepared and inflated for flight, our passengers climbed on board and at just after 07:30 the basket and all on board took to the skies above Norwich.

The early morning winds took G-CDHL in a south easterly direction.  Incredible scenery, first of the City of Norwich and then the countryside and villages was enjoyed by our passengers from a completely different angle and a spectacular model world opened up beneath the basket.

Mrs Montigu, who was flying with her husband, was thrilled by the direction - "We really did enjoy it.  The flight vouchers were a present from our son and we were thrilled to bits.  It was even more special for me as we flew over very familiar surroundings and I knew where we were all the flight.  Everything was so professional and so well organised.  We will recommend you to everyone!"

After landing in a grass field in Kirby Cane the flight was toasted by a welcome glass of chilled champagne.
