Sunset flight of Friday 22nd May 2009

The evening of Friday the 22nd May 2009 saw two hot air balloons flying from our Bluebell Road, Norwich launchsite.

Once the briefings had been heard, and the balloons prepared and inflated, both G-CENX and G-CDHL gently ascended and the passengers began their tour of the Norfolk county’s skies with the wind as their guide.

They peacefully drifted over the city before heading out towards the broads over Thorpe and Postwick. G-CENX  finally landed at Witton, near Great Plumstead, shortly followed by G-CDHL, landing in the same village.

As the sun rested, the flight was toasted in the traditional manner and in-flight photographs were ordered.

Among the passengers on the flight were three generations of Norfolk farmers, the Humphrey's from Forncett St Peter who when asked about their adventure with us on Friday evening replied, "It was well worth the wait, we were all a little apprehensive but it was simply amazing."

These thoughts were echoed by several other passengers -

"I thoroughly enjoyed it and was amazed by the views" Mr Gordon Holland

"Brilliant, it was just fantastic from start to finish, so professionally done. We will certainly be recommending you" Mr and Mrs Wynne

"A awesome experience, enjoyed it very much! Mr Oliver Labanc

"It was absolutely fantastic, unbelievable and so surreal.  It was so wonderful, it was a magic moment. To fly across Norwich was wonderful, I will be saving to do it again." Mrs Cole and family
