Sunrise adventure of Saturday 23rd May 2009 from the Cornwallis Country Hotel

The sunrise flight on Saturday 23rd May 2009 from The Cornwallis Country Hotel saw fourteen eager passengers take to the skies to pursue their aerial adventure.

Once the safety and flight briefings had been given, and the balloon had been prepared and inflated, G-CDHL escorted her passengers through the air, chasing the A140 and provided many picturesque views drifting over the county boundaries.

They continued travelling in a northerly direction, floating over Gissing and Tibenham, before drifting to the east and landing at Besthorpe near Attleborough.

The flight was then celebrated with the usual glass of Champagne (or orange juice), and the pilot presented the adventurers with their Commemorative Flight Certificates to mark their spectacular voyage.

After the flight, some of the passengers expressed their opinions of the experience:

“We can't wait to do it again!  Everything was so professionally done, and everything was explained so clearly.  Being able to get involved with the preparation and packing away really completed the adventure and made us feel part of the team.  We must confess that we do not normally buy sovereigns but we just had to have the in flight photograph.  Thank you once again, your pilot and crew were wonderful and we look forward to seeing you all again soon - we want now to do an evening flight."   Mr and Mrs Gover

“We really appreciate all of Jules’ efforts to get us up. It was just fantastic, well worth the wait.”  Mr and Mrs Cumming
